Why hate? I just don't get it.
Evil makes me so sad. I will never understand how someone could do horrible things to another person or creature. I just won't. It's a horrible, sad, and painful thing to witness atrocious acts done by an individual to another. As a person just hearing of it I feel helpless and broken hearted. How can we allow these things to happen? And without repercussion for the perpetrators? How can people sleep at night knowing that evil acts are going unpunished? I don't know. I'm very bothered by that.

I agree... so many people seem completely incapable of being empathetic at all, it bothers me too.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing you are talking about things on a smaller scale, but during the last presidential debate Ron Paul said something along the lines of, "I think our policy should be to do unto other countries as we would like them to do unto us." and he got boo'd. Then whenever another candidate would mention anything having to do with protecting ourselves at whatever cost, they got cheered(especially if they used the word "kill"!) I just don't understand how people can be that uncaring towards others just because of pointless differences, or distance, or other selfish reasons. And I especially cannot understand how people can harm those they should be closest to. But I don't understand a lot I guess...
Well yes and no. I'm talking all things. The post was inspired...well that seems like an inappropriate term I suppose...by something that happened to a student in my school. But nonetheless it's all very disturbing and saddening. I'm very worried about where this country is headed when it wraps itself in hate and violence. It can't be good.
